Maybe it's just me, but I thought the purpose of the "Today"-style themes was to show you e-mail (new and unseen), calendar (upcoming events), and call log (missed calls) all on the home screen giving you an overview of "today." I think the best Today theme I've come across was the Today Plus for my 8830. Although, I do like HaTaX's Today theme for the 8900, I miss the call log. I never minded scrolling right to get to the icons.

I do see your point of view.

But for myself, I don't care to see the call log and messages anymore.
I used to, but now I just prefer to see the forthcoming appointments I have.
I have my messages assigned to my left side convenience key.
And if I want to see my call log, I can just push the green phone key once.
So to my liking, I made this. I prefer to have more apps showing on the homescreen
rather than having the space filled up by the Today Style call log and messages.

Also, I've found some bugs with the above download.
I fixed them all, to my knowledge. So look back here
in a few hours for the new download links.

I just love this theme, but, and it's a biggie, my 8900 locks up with every battery pull or alt, right shift, del. This makes the theme unusable for me, since I do a boot on a regular basis.

When the BB boots, it comes to a screen that says "Media Card Inserted" and either stalls out there, or will go onto the Tmo splash screen and then no further. In both cases, I have to reload the OS.

I had this same problem with the original Double Dock theme and had to quit using it too.

I do love this theme, I hope the problem can be fixed.

I was booting the BB again while I was writing this post and have found out, that when it reaches the Tmo splash screen, if I then turn the phone off and then back on, it works without have to reload the OS. Very strange, at least to me.

I forgot to mention the 2nd big problem. The theme does away with my 'general' messages folder.

I sure wish the theme would work though. I do love it, but I have to go back to the basic one that came with my BB.
