Default I have received 2 SMS messages ... how do I read them?!

Please Login to Remove!

I am completely new to Blackberry.

There is a notification icon at the top left of the screen indicating that I have received 2 messages. If I open Messages on the Home screen there are no messages listed. How do I find them, please?

I've found the messages lurking in Home-> Setup -> SMS And MMS.

This doesn't seem a very intuitive way of seeing messages received!

How do I setup SMS so that the messages are more easily accessible from the Home screen, please?

Either move the SMS and MMS icon by highlighting it menu - move to folder
then again and just menu - move and moving it around.
or go into Messages - menu - options - general - Email and SMS inboxes: (set to) combined.
then they will show in the MESSAGES icon.

Thanks. That's just what we want.

I've also discovered that the icons that are in the top row of the "Home" folder are the ones that appear on the Home screen. I hadn't seen this in the manual.

Don't particularly like to read the other comments first before posting, do you?
