Default SMS conversation mode??

Please Login to Remove!

I've been using an AT&T Fuze since November, just decided to get a Bold a few days ago and can't believe I didn't go with it INSTEAD of the Fuze! But that's neither here nor there. The one thing I DID like about the Fuze was it's conversation mode with SMS messages. All messages from a certain individual as well as your replies are kept in a single separate thread, similar to IM convos. Each conversation is selectable from a main screen, it's perfect when you have several people contacting you at once you can keep things separated so you know what you wrote to whom. Is this natively possible on the BB Bold or if not maybe a 3rd party app that can do something similar?

Threaded SMS is not a native feature of the device, but I would love for it to be as well.

There are 3rd party apps. Here is one: Threaded SMS Solution for The BlackBerry - 3Jam | BlackBerryNews.com

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 11000 Colosol)

I use 3jam and I do like it. Although my gripe with it is that I still have to clear the native SMS box out as well

I found myself tapping the Bold screen myself a few times.

I tried out the 3Jam, I didn't like that the icon didn't change at all when a message was received (I like the big red asterisk on the native SMS icon, hard to not see that), plus the LED kept flashing even after I read and replied to all messages. I ended up dumping it.

You have to set the firewall to block SMS messages, there were instructions on the download page. It stopped them from going to the native SMS box for me, just went to 3Jam, but as I noted the LED wouldn't stop flashing. Dunno why.
