hey guys i am from india i have recently purchased bold 9930 verizon unlocked device. i am using this device on reliance gsm network but the problem is i am not able to use bbm and other blackberry services.

The 9930 is not really made for GSM carriers. Sure it will work on 2G with 850/900/1800/1900 bands, but it is designed to work with HSDPA 900/2100 and CDMA2xxx (1xEVDO).
Not sure why you purchased one. I suggest bringing it back and exchanging it for a device that is made for your network, or buying a device that will work.

Yes, the problem is that because the device is not designed to natively work with your service provider, you need to MANUALLY install the Service Books in order to get the BlackBerry Data features to work.
The problem is obtaining those Service Books for your specific carrier which you probably will not be able to obtain.
As noted above, you likely would be much better served by getting a device that is natively supported on your carrier network.
