Unhappy Database not supported by BlackBerry Manager

Please Login to Remove!

Help...
I'm trying to install the 4.10 BlackBerry Manager on a desktop. Obviously the database is not local to the PC.

The database we're using is SQLExpress (SP2)

The first 1/2 of the BlackBerry Mgr installs, then following a reboot I'm trying to complete the remainder of the installation.

On the screen for the database configuration I'm specifying a Remote, (without performing a database backup). After specifying SERVERNAME\SQLExpress and BESMgmt I recieve the following error:

Database specified has a version that is not supported by this BlackBerry Manager. Please upgrade BlackBerry Enterprise Server first, then run the upgrade again.

Any ideas? I've tried with my Windows account and the sa account, no joy either way.

Thanks

What's your BES version, Rixter? If it's 4.1 with a SP, the ServerDBVersion table will have a record for that specific version and thats why the installer complains as the base versio is 4.1.0 whilst the record stored is 4.1.x. Try changing the version to 4.1.0 and try again. If this does not help, call up RIM and get the full installer for that version 4.1.x.

Or you can finish the install by running the SP installer to finish. Then re-run the SP to do the actual SP upg.

I'm trying the install without a SP. The version is 4.1.0 (Bundle 61). Its very annoying . I contacted Rogers tech support and they hadn't heard of the problem.
