Default BES Sync Problems

Please Login to Remove!

In the process of setting up a BES server (W2K3, Exchange 2K3 & BES 4.1) for the first time.

I've managed successfully to get changes made within Outlook 2003 to be sent to the Blackberry. My problem is that I don't seem to be able to go the other way i.e., changes made on the Blackberry are not being displayed within Outlook 2003.

As far as I can tell the Blackberry seems to be set correctly. Anyone seen this before or could point me in the right direction?

TIA.

What changes are you referrring to specifically? Status of emails, new calendar appointments, memos, tasks etc? There could be a multiple of reasons depending on what is not synchornizing BlackBerry to outlook.

Cheers,

It seems like any change on the blackberry is not being updated on the server.

All changes seems to be from the server and are not being sync'd/reconciled back.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Are you running your Outlook profile in cached mode?

You could be having one of two issues, maybe both.

If you go to your windows services what windows domain account are the BlackBerry services running as? Domain Admin?

What version of mapi32.dll is on the Exchange 2003?
What version of mapi32.dll is on the BES server? These two versions should be the same.

My Outlook 2003 profile on my laptop is indeed running in 'cached mode'.

Both servers are running the same version of mapi32.dll.

Try taking it out of cached mode.
