I had a hell of a time getting this activated OTA on our BESX....didn't work after several tries and reboots. Ended up doing a wired activation to get it up and running - and very slow to populate at that. Not sure if it's the OS - but I've never had these issues before on BB's

yeah steve this os is completely cracked out. very few people can install it properly and apparently there's like a lengthy process to it that looks insane...i recommend ignoring it.

I never thought I would have to crack DoD-level encryption and become a forensic coder just to install a leaked OS.

Finally got it working last afternoon. What a crock. Anyways a couple of enterprising minds created a quick and dirty installer (Poor Man's exe), and it takes out most of the guess work. I'll post a link after I get home if anyone is interested.

I had no issue installing it - was no harder than a normal leaked OS. I'm only saying that for some reason, I could not reactivate it OTA with our BES Express, which I have never had happen to us before.

I stand sheepishly corrected - this never happened to me before and I should have checked this.

The BES activation generated (etd.dat) e-mail was always ending up in the Junk mail folder in Exchange (damn Microscrap). Fixed that and it activated OTA right away. Wow - I feel like such a dumbbell...

Recurring issue in certain OS's along the way - voice command over Bluetooth doesn't work as well as in .284. I have had this issue before and it changes every once in a while between OS's. If I downgrade to .284, it recognizes the voice command more than 95% of the time, whereas on .342...not more than 50%, if even that.
