Will 6.x even work on a 9900?

Yeah 6.1 is os 7 before it was renamed. This version was being developed for all current os 7 devices and it also leaked for 4 other devices back in may of this year. The 9930, 9860, 9850 and the 9810. But it leaked way before the units were released so was curious if anyone tried it on their units just for fun. But by the lack of response and even buddy above me who has no idea this os even exists, am concluding no lol.

interesting, I like to try that out on my spare 9900 which is collecting dust becuase of inacceptable battery lifetime.

the file is however only avilible from one place (fileserve). Size is 209MB. Do you know if this is the correct file ?

Good luck with that. You're wasting your time.

I will know in 30 minutes. Thank you.

followup:
indeed, nothing special with this version 6.1.
Same theme, same icons.
Touchscreen is working (I hoped that it did not)

Next try with 7.1.74....

7.1.74: Identical.
Same useless Browser (no customization of Browser identity possible)
Same useless BBmaps (slow, your location in dimmed green, small pointer, invisible in dimmed light)
Cant deactivate touch screen

I stay with my 9700 + OS5.

yeah it didn't actually load on my 9900 lol. it gave me a unrecognised software error which is weird because this was leaked specifically for the bold. i don't know. whatever.
