So due to a few marks I've decided to order a new screen..

I'm comfortable with opening my Bold, since I've changed the bezel and a trackball a few times..

So today I get the package with the new screen.. HAPPY!

I open it, take my Bold aparat.. disconnect the screen from the board and remove it from it.. and notice there is something different about the new screen.

On the upper back something seems to be missing.. I take a look at the old screen and see there is no earpiece cover (which also covers LED)? (don't know if that is the correct thing..)

So for the users with more knowledge about this thing..

What are the components on the upper back of the screen?

Will the LED (notification light) still work, or do I need something more for that?

If earpiece cover is all I need, how hard it is to install it (i've tried removing it from the old screen, but it seems almost impossible without cracking the screen)?

Are you sure that you ordered the correct LCD? I believe there are two different models for the Bold. Check on the back of the LCD and make sure the model numbers are the same.

There are more than 2 different models / versions, and yes I have ordered the correct one.

I'm just not sure if I only need earpiece cover or is there something more.

And how hard it is to "put them together" (the screen and the earpiece cover that is).
