Default Battery draining stupidly fast

Please Login to Remove!

Hi.

I have to have to have 2 charges, one at work and one at home. When i use the internet (with bb data not wifi) it drains the battery to one bar about every 5 mins.

Is there any tips? I dont have any other applications running and i am not on BES.

and what is a battery pull?

thanks!

Wirelessly posted (Lets Go Canes!)

I don't know how your signal strength is but that seems like a hardware issue. Make sure you are using the most current OS

A Battery Pull is just what it sounds like, remove the battery for 30 seconds. There is a program, quickpull (?), that will reboot your phone at night since it takes five minutes for a reboot.

I'm in NYC Metro area, no longer on BES so I don't get a high level of email. I use BBM, light browsing and probably 90 minutes or more of phone and need two batteries to make it through the day starting at 7am, I'm down to 20% by 3pm. I have Google Maps Latitude running and Google Voice. Talking on the phone is by far the biggest drain on the battery.

I have no intention on upgrading to a Bold2, but, if the battery life was significantly better I'd consider it.

Regards-Michael G.

There definitely is a problem with your bold if it draining one bar every five minutes. I would get a warranty replacement or try just changing the battery.

I've had something similar. At some times of the day on some days, my Bold's battery will go from fully charged to flat in a couple of hours, and the phone will be unusually warm. I figure something's going mad on the CPU, but have no idea what. I wish there was a task manager.
