Default Bold and bluetooth handsfree set incoming calls

Please Login to Remove!

I have just succesfully connected by Bold to a nokia ck 20w carkit. Outgoing calls are fine and operate smoothly handsfree via the bluetoot set, but i'm facing some problems with incoming calls. when i answer an incoming call it prompts "call routed to bluetooth device" where i have the options "route call to headset" and "ok". in both cases of 'ok' and doing nothing it takes about 4-5 seconds before i actually have the call routed to the bluetooth device and can hear the other end of the line. this results in an annoying "hello... hello .... HELLO" with every incoming call... I would just like to talk directly via bluetooth upon answering a call.. anyone familiair to this problem, and anyone a solution for this?? thx....

I have noticed similar behavior with my BT headset... IF I answer the phone by pressing a phone button... but IF I answer the phone by pressing a button on the headset, it gets routed as I expected.

So that leads me to the question: How are you answering the call? By pressing a button on the phone or on the car/carkit? Try it by answering the call with the carkit and not touching the Bold... see if that makes a difference.

... and welcome to the forums.

Sorry, no. The Bold works differently from all of the other BlackBerry devices I've had - from the 8700c to several Curves an 8800 and my wife's Pearl. The Bold is the only one that exhibits this behavior when answering via BT. I have not connected it to the BT receiver in my wife's Maxima...
