Wirelessly posted (Blackberry Curve 4.6.0.62)

To answer your question correctly no they are not publicly available. However you can find them on the net in various places. They are betas and if you are not familiar with betas I don't recommend installing.

I found the site. Is it worth downloading if you have .51?

Is it worth going through the process if you already have .51

There were some bugs with .51 like the red LED flashing after there wasn't any new mail or text messages. .66 fixed those.

Thank you. I may wait for an official release unless this version is less of a memory hog and maybe leaks less.

From what I've heard, those who installed it got a wee bit more memory and there were no leaks.

I've had no problem with memory leaks thus far, and it is very stable. Far more than whatever version of 4.5 is officially released I bet (look at the 4.5 for GSM)

The leaks have diminished as I have upgraded. I will eventually take the plunge based on your comments.

Don't do it. Those sites advertise files they don't really have. You'll find betas hosted in more reputable sources that don't ask for money. I still haven't found a true leaked .66 for the 8830 and have heard from more hardcore beta searchers out there that's it's not as readily available as it is for other Blackberries.

From what I'm hearing, the changes from .51 to .66 are marginal. so just hang tight (like me).

Default Will the sme OS work for 8330 & 8830!

The thread originally asked about .66 for the 8830. Does the same OS work for both? If not what's the best searchable OS for 8830? My misunderstanding on this.
