Exclamation Blackberry Curve (8520?) on the blink

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I switched my Blackberry off last night and since switching it back on this morning neither BBM nor the internet browser seem to be willing to send or receive anything. Facebook and Twitter both work fine and the phone has EDGE in capitals and the Wifi box in white, so I assume it is connected to BIS but BBM and the browser simply will not work. Have checked all settings and also asked my father (a bit of a tech whizz) to have a look and he can't find anything wrong with the device. Also tried rebooting with no success.

I'm on Orange PAYG and I'm not meant to be due to give up my monthly fiver for BIS until the 14th so I don't think that's the issue either, is there an outage of some kind? Can anyone help? :(

Have you called Orange to see if there is an outage in your area?
Are you seeing the BlackBerry symbol in addition to EDGE?
Have you done a real battery pull?
Have you resent your Service Books?

Yes and yes to the second two, no to the first because that's always ludicrously costly - where would I be looking for the blackberry logo?
