My carrier has been switched from Alltel to Verizon, and my existing Alltel Blackberry 8330 (Curve) is not working very well. Verizon is offering to give me a Verizon phone, to hopefully fix the problem. They said I can choose between the Curve and the Tour. I am not a "world traveler". Which is the better device? Why?

The Tour is slightly more advanced, but nothing is so earth-shattering that you'd die for the features. The biggest thing is the keyboard, IMHO. Two different styles, and since that's your primary interface on a BlackBerry make sure to pick the model with the keyboard that suits you best.

Have to agree very very much...why get somethin that came along time ago anyways...jk...not but seriously. Try out the Tour first, cuz I know you won't go to the Curve after that. ;)

Are they offering the Curve 8530?

I like the Tour much better than my 8330 for the reasons mentioned above. The keyboard is taking some getting used to though because it is different.

I guess I don't know. I ask the "support" woman if either had Wifi, and she said no. This would lead me to believe that it was not the 8530. The Tour should be here today. Hope this solves the problem.

I have to admit, the talk about the HTC Dragon is pretty interesting...
