Default Gmail emails to myself not showing up on BB

Please Login to Remove!

So, when I email myself something on my gmail account using that *same* gmail account, the email does not appear on my Blackberry? Does anybody know why this is happening or how to fix it? I send myself files all the time and it is really annoying when they don't show up on my BB.

Its possible that you have a filter set in Blackberry Internet Service (BIS). I was asking for the opposite, that I DO NOT RECEIVE any emails that I sent, and the answer was to set up a filter in BIS to prevent any messages that has FROM and my gmail address, then it would not forward these messages to me on my BB.

Can you go to your BIS and check to make sure there are no filters set for your gmail account?

Wirelessly posted

My gmail has disappeared from my ringer profiles, also. I'm still getting my emails, but they are slower. Does this have something to do with the BIS upgrade?

Yea, I checked my BIS. No filters set at all.

BIS no longer supports gmail. I added my gmail account to BIS/pop3 emails and then you can download the enhanced gmail add-on. Now I get them timely in 1 folder and go to my gmail app to reply because I dont want my contacts intergrated.

Thats not true. I am a gmail user and been getting my gmails on my bb all the time through BIS. I am not using GMail app on my BB. My contacts ARE NOT integrated and are kept separate.

BlackBerry Internet Service (version 2.6) no longer supports Gmail POP access.

Instead, you can now integrate Gmail with the BlackBerry's email client using IMAP access. Learn how.

Further details are available in the BlackBerry Technical Solution Center

bump

I have had my tour for about 2 months now and have had no problems with my gmail account. I added it using the email setup wizard when i got it and it has been working perfectly. Recently (since BIS 2.8 has been released?) I have not been receiving any of my gmail. I sent myself one today to check it out and I did not receive it.

Any help is appreciated.

up until this weekend, I was using the gmail app and was able set a profile to it. Profile disappeared. I setup my gmail through the BIS and I'm getting mine now without much delay. Much like my pop3 accounts.
Maybe set them up again?

so the bottom line is that when you send a message to yourself from your GMAIL web app, then BIS 2.6 has a built in rule to stop that message from being forwarded to your device because it is trying to eliminate duplicate email from arriving on your device every time you send from gmail. the whole thing makes perfect sense now.

Does anyone know a work around other than setting up another gmail account to forward the messages from back to the device, because i tried that and it doesn't work.

There is no work around.
It simply will not do it.
And its BIS 2.8 now, not 2.6.
