Default Best case for the storm?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys,

I recently purchased the storm but I purchased it with the hard snap cover which makes the phone weight 20lbs (sarcastic). I really am looking for a light case, how are the skin cases? I use to use them a while ago with my other phones but what I don't like is the lint and dirt it accumulates.

Anyone have any good ones in mind? By the way, I am a female, love pink and red, and work in a professional environment.

Talk soon.
Thank you!

I have tried two different ones (hard cases) from Verizon. I ended up with one known as chrome which is pretty light, but isn't very sturdy. It looks great but actually broke when I tossed it on my bed...no joke. Price of the case was the biggest factor for me...I was looking for something around $20-$25. I hope to read some replies on this topic. Thanks!

I'm loving the Seidio Innocase II, and they also make a holster that accommodates the phone while it's in the case. And...they also make a desktop cradle that does the same.

How Sturdy does it feel? I got the Verizon leather flip holster, and liked it, but the belt clip on it broke so i'm in the market for a new case. I have been looking at the Seidio case and holster just for the fact that they have a cradle that won't require removing the case.

Ditto! Love the Seidio set up. I don't use the holster but the case and cradle are very good!

One more vote for the Seidio Innocase II. It offers an extra degree of protection but fits the Storm so well that it almost is not identifiable as a case. I have not purchased their cradle yet but will be adding that shortly. The only potential draw back to the Seidio that I can think of is that if you change the battery a lot it is not a case that is designed to be taken off rapidly and frequently.

I really appreciate the quality and workmanship of Sena cases, and have one for the Storm, and one for my Axim.
Pricey, but great stuff, and available in (almost) pink!!
Since I only have two posts, the lords of the intardnet won't let me post a link or picture. Sorry.

Seidio Innocase II

I'm running the hybrid case but you can see all the dust through it so I would have to recommend the innocase II

I had the Seidio Innocase and the holster. Nearly every day I carried it it became dislodged from the holster and hit the floor. After the first few times the case started coming apart, the back would come off the phone and case, phone, battery all went is different directions. I personally think the case and holster combo sucked. It was a pretty poor investment and I won't buy another of their product

Sleepsafe,

I'm sorry you're having problems with your combo. The holster should hold your Innocase very securely, so if it isn't you must have a defective one. Please email your contact and original order information to [email address] and I'll make sure you receive a replacement.

Thanks,

Well, as most people who own a Storm are aware of how often you have to pull out the battery for a reset because your O.S. locked up. Even if you have the app of "Quickpull" sometimes the phone is so jammed up that you can't even get to the app button to apply the "Quickpull" program so it leaves you no choice but to pull the battery out.

This is why I'm happy with my BB leather flip holster with magnetic shut down which I like keeping it clipped on the inside of my front pocket for quick access and if I ever need to pull my battery out which is at least a few times a day I can do so very easily. Until Verizon releases a new software upgrade that takes care of most issues so that a soft reset is not required as often or rarely then I will consider and sleaker case like the Seidio Innocase II.

The other day on Google news I saw a article about a company introducing a new case for the Storm and other BB's. Pretty cool case and clip combo!

We have the case-mate rubber type that covers the bottom buttons. Fits perfectly and makes the phone easier to hold AND protects the screen/keys from dust/dirt. Found brand new on ebay for much less than stores on the web.

I'd recommend the SillCrylic cases by Incipio Cases and Accessories - SILICRYLIC Silicone Crystal Case for BlackBerry Storm 9530 - White
The cool thing is that they're two cases, a softer rubber case and a harder plastic case. The rubber one can be used by itself if you like. Used together they're very low profile, still very much pocket sized, and the screen protector is exceptional. You can read a thread started on these forums here: http://www.blackberryforums.com/hard...ylic-case.html
And despite earlier problems I had which you can read about in the thread, Incipio customer service were great and response time was very minimal. I am very happy with the case(s) and definitely recommend it or maybe something else from their site.

EDIT- Also note that you can get the case in colors other than white.
