Angry OS 4.1 and the Full Image White Screen Problem

Please Login to Remove!

OK, I've seen a couple of posts about this problem, but nothing too specific. So here's a post that's all about the image problem in OS 4.1.

Description:
When browsing, and you select an image, and select Full Image from the menu, and all you get is a blank white screen - no image, and zooming in or out or 1:1 doesn't help.
- This only seems to apply to images larger than 240x160.
- This also applies to the Pictures application on the BB. Images larger than 240x160 give you the white screen, but their thumbnails show in the list (thumbnails are incorrect - don't show whole image, only center portion)
- This also applies to images you had on your BB before you upgraded (in the Pictures app)
- This also applies to images attached to emails (Full Image only - Full Content resized image views OK)
- This only seems to affect some users - not all users with OS 4.1

Does anyone know of a solution or workaround for this problem?

Please post below if you have this problem. Include your BB model, OS version, and carrier. Also post a link if you have a particular site that easily displays this problem in action.

7250 running 4.1.0.268 on Verizon. I have the same issue, and have had it with every other version of the 4.1 firmware that I've tried.

As far as I'm aware, there is no workaround and no plans for RIM to fix it in the immediate future.

Man, that stinks. I hate having to resize images to 240x160 when you used to be able to do 240 by whatever and scroll. Grrrrr...
