Default Desktop Manager wants to delete Apps installed Manually

Please Login to Remove!

I've got the Bold-9650 with the latest OS from Verizon.

I have the OS installed on my computer. But now when I got to use DM to install a new app, it "kindly" offers to REMOVE or DOWNGRADE a number of programs that I installed using BBSAK or were transferred by DeviceSwitchWizard. UNticking the remove/downgrades does not help as it then wants to do the other downgrade/remove. So DM is fairly useless unless it has controlled all aspects of loading other applications on the device.

How do I "straighten out" DM so that it accepts stuff already installed on my BB - kind of like App Sync-ing, I'd guess. And then let me select new items to install. Right now it wants to upset my applecart with about a dozen apps that it either wants to remove or downgrade.

Does it keep this info in a file or in the Windows Registry or???

Thanks in advance.

I'll give this a bump....

Isn't there a way to "fix" what Desktop Manager thinks is or is not installed on my BB?

What version of DM are you using?

Thanks for replying.

Good question - OLD..... (be right back)

4.6 - I said it was old.

I've stuck with it because, in general, it has been reasonable and I know other versions introduced "issues" if I recall.

So, do newer versions NOT create such issues? I guess I can install a newer version on a laptop and play with it.
