Exclamation how to replace BES server

Please Login to Remove!

i want to build a new temporary server as the old one is getting tired any one know how to do this.

i need to move all clients on to new server and rebuild the old one.
is it as simple as joining the new server with the old moving the clients and then shut down the old one.

... but we all know deep down that I recommend the knife-edge (or spork-edge if you're feeling frisky).

You can only get a new SRP from RIM.

Well, if you do a knife-edge (or spork-edge), you don't need any additional SRPs ... if you do a phased migration you'll need to get a temp one from RIM. They may / may not provide you one without T-Support. It can't hurt to call and ask if you're interested in performing the move using that method.

just sign up for the free quick start version. you'll get a new set of SRP keys together with the CALs. the limitation is in the CALs you get, not the SRP info.
