hi there,

i own a bb 8900 and i hv been trying to download the facebook app an it always tells me: the requested page can not be vied. or sth like this. so i tried to download this blackberry app world ..and same here.
now i dowloaded the Opera Mini browser and when i try to download facebook mobile via this browser it tells me its an incorrect browser and i need some windows explorer??

plz can anyone help, im getting frustrated!!! :S

What cell carrier do you have? Please update your profile with that information since we know it isn't really "DO NOT KNOW".

Do you have a Blackberry data plan? You must have that for Facebook.

If you actually have a browsing data plan the only other thing I can say is where are you downloading the mobile FB from? Hopefully it is from the authorized place. Maybe you need certain updates on your browser or phone you don't have. It might be a good idea to read your help manual or call technical support. However, I know that's why this forum is here. LOL

And you cannot install/download applications via Opera Mini. You must use the BlackBerry Browser for which (as noted above) you must have a BLACKBERRY Data Plan.

sp please can u tell me first what a carrier is and what a blackberry data plan is? then i can answer both :d

2. A BlackBerry Data Plan is a service provided by your carrier in addition to your voice plan that provides you access to BlackBerry Data features.

A BlackBerry Data Plan from your carrier is required in order to use BlackBerry Data features such as BlackBerry App World, the Facebook app, etc. even over WiFi.
