I haven't been paying attention for a while but in going through the IT Policy after installing 4.1.4 I found that for devices running 4.2.2 you can actually remove the IT policy. Was this new with 4.1.4 or did it show up earlier?

Specify whether the BlackBerry device resets itself to factory default settings when it receives the Erase Data and Disable Handheld IT Admin command over the wireless network. Set this IT policy rule to True to require the BlackBerry device to permanently delete its stored IT policy and delete all third party applications, in addition to performing the BlackBerry device wipe process.
If you do not set this rule, a default value of False will be used.
This rule applies only to Java-based BlackBerry devices version 4.2.2 and higher.

The only device (that I'm aware of) that has a 4.2.2 OS is the 8300.

Glad to see this addition to the IT Policy but it won't help in the situation where I get the most requests for it - we have contractors that leave our company with their own personal BB's and by the time they think to ask about removing our password enforcement their accounts have been removed from the BES and Exchange server. Too late for me to send a blank IT Policy.
