Unhappy Lost my BB Tour

Please Login to Remove!

I lost my BB Tour in a cab last night and I am dying because I had my whole life in there. I need my contacts in order to work....I know that I should have backed up my phone months ago, but I didn't...is there anyway to retrieve my contacts without even having the phone? Can your carrier do that?

Some carriers have a remote backup now, I think . . . I think I saw that lately, though I don't use it . . . and maybe it's a feature of the new version of BIS. Anyway, did you do that? Have you sync'd with Outlook, Yahoo, Google?

If your contacts are in the address book on the device and only in the address on the device, you are SOL unless you get the device back.

The remote backup wouldn't have been automatic. You would know if you did it, as you have to read the terms of service and all that, accept, etc, etc, etc. And then I assume what you would do is restore to the new blackberry.

Did you put your contact info on the owner screen?

If you ever made a backup, if you did, the contacts should be on your pc with a file extension of ipd. there are a few free IPD readers. It may help.

I don't believe that Sprint has a remote backup. They rely on the end user to sync their phone with outlook, google, yahoo, etc.

Try downloading lookout antivirus. It is an antivirus that also helps to backup all your contacts so that when you change your device, you dont lose your contacts. Guess this is medicine after dead but so you know.
