Default A dumb question about Storm....

Please Login to Remove!

I was wondering, since Storm claimed to be a world phone, is it possible to configure the phone to be active (at least in receiving mode) for both CDMA and GSM numbers?

I have a unlocked Storm on Verizon network for my home base, if it can also receiving the calls from GSM at the same time, it could save me to carry a second phone for my Asia business needs, which is a GSM roaming on T-mobile....

Just thought to put the thoughts out here...

nope, not possible.
as you cannot connect to both CDMA network and GSM network at the same time.

I have no problem receiving calls from either phones based on GSM or CDMA. My phone is set to use 1XEV only. Receiving should be no problem, but you cannot transmit on both at the same time.

As a "world phone", it should work on the CDMA network in the US and the GSM networks in Asia.

Actually the Storm will also work on GSM networks in North and South America, Europe and Asia as long as the device is unlocked.
