Just downloaded the new OS (5.0.0.545) - got that from wireless update screen*

The new locking feature is driving me insane, the top left key used to lock the keyboard (showed the lock symbol bottom left of the screen) and now it locks the phone completely.

The top right key is useless now (used to be standby) other then play/pause/stop.

This new OS and this locking is driving me insane, is there any way to get it back to how it used to be?

I've been reading how to downgrade to the previous OS, whatever it was before this one, but im afraid im going to screw something up. Anyone know a solution to this, or willing to help me figure out this downgrading situation?

Search the forums... it's gone, apparently, for good. There is one company that claims to have solved the issue with a $5 utility... but all you need to do is add a password to your device, and then you can auto-lock it with native OS code - no add-ons required.

The only other option would be to downgrade your phone's OS back to a version that supported the old locking/standby features.

Downgrading is the same process as upgrading - except you use an older version of the OS. Uninstall the new version from your computer, install the old version, and follow the same steps you followed to get the upgrade installed on your phone.
