Does the 8310 curve offered thru AT&T have GPS that speaks the directions to you via speakerphone so you don't have to constantly look at the screen and keep your eyes on the road?

Yes... TeleNav does just that (for a monthly subscription fee of $10/per month). It works great, I use it often when traveling in unfamilar areas.

And, there are other GPS apps also... Nav4All is one, that you might like to try.

thank you for the quick response. i was just curious as my friend has a 8820 and his gps does not speak. just wanted to be sure mine would be better. ha ha ha.

Hmm... what GPS application is he using? It is dependent on the application in use. Some do (TeleNav), some don't (Google Maps, BBMaps)
