i just purchased a san disk 4gb microSDHC memory card for my 8310 curve.

i have just installed it into my curve. the hour glass icon was on for about a minute and then the phone went to the main screen.

1) how do i know the memory card is being recognized by the phone?

2) do i need to format the memory card and/or make any setting changes?

3) also, will i be able to load ringtones or take pictures and have them go to the memory card instead of on the phone?

1.) If you go to media you should be able to change directories and see it.

2.) Yes. Menu>options>Advance Options>Media Card>menu>format card

3.) Yes, you can either use the DM media manager to load them or if you enable mass storage mode by Menu>options>Advanced Options>Media Card>Mass storage mode = ENABLED. then you can just drag them on your PC the drive letter it assigned the card. Note: You will not be able to see the card through media manager if you enable this option.

Also move all pics and music from the device memory so that you have more free memory!

so far i do not have any pics or music on my blackberry. the only thing i have downloaded were ringtones.

should i move those to the memory card? and if so, how do you do that?

Yes, they take up more space than you would think. Just go into Media and highlight them and Menu Move or Copy.

I have 2 questions. I am just starting to understand the Blackberry Curve 8310.

1) My phone is in the BB Dimension Today theme but there are two messages displaying under the Messages section that i have already read and they will not go away no matter what i try. I have even gone into Messages and deleted them yet they still remain. Can someone please help?

2) When i send emails, no matter who i send it to the emails get sent to my email address as well. Is there a way that i can stop this?
