Hi,

I have a problem with he BB Messenger on my Pearl.
If I want to add somebody to my contact, it only allows me to add by mailadress.
On my 8700 if I want to add somebody I can choose between Mail or PIN.

Anybody an idea?

My FW levels are:
8100 - 4.2.1.101
mit BBM 4.2.1

8700 - 4.1.0.286
mit BBM 1.0.94

I am having the same problem.... sometimes it will work and sometimes it won't...

Any thoughts out there?

Finaly I got the solutions form the German board:

1. start messenger
2. push bb button
3. go to add a contact
4. scroll up to "onetime" (in German its [Einmalig])
5. push bb button
6. now you can choose between mail and PIN

Is the person's PIN number showing in your address book? It should not be necessary but try it if you have not done so already.

As of yesterday I get no choice to add PIN only email. Any ideas what has happened?
