When I receive a BBM or SMS my phone doesn't stop vibrating until I open them. Any ideas on how to stop this?

It sounds if you may have a 'custom' Vibration setting. Go into options and check the settings. You can set it to just vibrate once, the length of the vibration can be adjusted also, so it vibrates a shorter period.
