Default Water Damage.

Please Login to Remove!

Okay, did the most stupid thing ever today...... dropped my phone in the toilet.
Im appauled at myself for it.
Anywayyy, got it out - it was still on and working - i took the battery out and wiped it with a towel then after it was "dry" i took out my sim and SD card out then i got a top and put it like a blanket on my radiator and put my phone on it to dry out better. Its now been about 3 or 4 hours and whenever i put my battery in the red led light comes on but when i press for it to come on nothing happens.
I rang up my network to ask them advice and they told me to put the battery in to see if the screen still comes on.
Ive been reading up on different forums people are going on about water damage stickers and everyone posts different pictures of these stickers but people have been saying they have a red line on their battery but mine doesnt. I have a small red square which is near to where my sim should be and the one on my battery is just white.

Can anyone give me advice for this?
As a typical teen my phone means everything and i use it for everything!

You probably fried it by putting the battery in after such a short amount of time. However you can try using the methods described in the following FAQ.

Good Luck.

Once in a while customer service will tell you the correct information, but not that time.

I agree, with the others. Odds are the device is FUBAR. But stranger things have happend. Take the battery out, dry the device good (per link posted already) and then give it another try.

Good luck.

FYI liquid damage is typically so severe/extensive that the device is totaled. Or so I understand from others.

Fingers crossed.

Well I had one of my drivers do the same, another microwaved one as well. Both cases the BB's were trashed, and replaced by carriers insurance.
Sorry for your misfortune.

Hi, Well I had a similar experience where my wife machine-washed AND tumble-dried my 8520. I let it dry for a week in a tub of uncooked rice then followed internet instructions for disassembly and cleaning and mine fires up fine
As a newbie I'm not allowed to post links just yet but just Google "wet blackberry curve 8520" and at the time of this post it is the top result, begins :- engallamientos.wordpress.com/

Good luck.
