Angry Blackberry 9780 SO DISAPPOINTING - would love to hear other people's opinion of 9780

Please Login to Remove!

I'm a HUGE blackberry fan for years, own a company with over 100 employees and have made having a blackberry a requirement especially for our sales team but Blackberry 9780 with 6.0 is a TRUE DISAPPOINTM ENT.

Seems like RIM took a touch screen application s its 6.0 version and just shoved it down the non touch screen blackberry. Although I do LOVE some aspects like faster, better camera, better video, open attachment, using internet so it really bad to have to go back to an OLDER blackberry cause the new one doesn't work well.

HOME SCREEN - at least 20-30 times a day I accidentall y scroll right or left - SO SO ANNOYING cause I just want to be on ALL were my apps are. ALSO in the old 9700 all you did was click blackberry key to the left and it went to all my apps NOW its a two click deal although you can scroll down but GOOD luck doing it without accidentall y going right or left again.

SEARCH IN EMAIL - in the 9700 you could easily search email messages INCLUDING the actual message - now in 9780 its way way too complicated , you must go to SEARCH BY, ADVANCE ETC ETC way too complicated . Spoke to heavy users of blackberry and they all said this was really annoying.

VIEWING PICTURES - when you view pictures it has this ANNOYING type at top that says PICTURE LIBRARY 1 of 200 etc etc WHY - the type covers 1/3 of the screen and photo really annoying too.

CONTACTS - I DONT want pictures of the 2,500 contacts so WHY is there a little face right next to my names - it takes up room and useless and annoying again. Also in the old 9700 you could see more of the contact info

BING - the bing app is not available for 9780 - not sure it thats microsoft or RIM.

There are about another 10 issues but they are minor.

Hope someone at Blackberry reads this.
If they email me at larryhall199 [email address] and I will gladly give you the name of my company and real contact info.
Thanks.

We could do without the double posts...once would have been enough.

You do realize that THIS forum is not in anyway associated with RIM/BlackBerry, right?

I am thinking that if you own a company with 100 employees, and you don't understand that this site is not associated with RIM, that you probably haven't spent the time to read and understand the workings of your 9780 either...

If you have some specific questions, please ask.

Well I'm not that tech clever with BB's (that's why I joined this forum to learn). The 9780 in my opinion is the best BB I've owned, and as for using the OS without needing to run a touch screen is an advantage. I'm basically dense but I've no problems using its features.

So stop using RIM and while you are at it stop using Microsoft Windows because when people went from XP to Windows 7 (or Vista) that's all they did is complain how much more complicated things were... LoL

Learn how to use device or switch to something else!

I will admit there is a learning curve to the new OS but it's not hard to figure out and or use if you practice.

A.
