Default 9780 Random Events Sounds

I'm curious why my 9780 sometimes makes a random blip, its the same tone as when you connect a charger/headphones. It hasn't had no effects on the device. I just wonder what it is. It just did it sitting on table?

Are you sure it's not an incoming email? I get a blip on a second email I have on my BB.
does it happen if you shut of all sounds.

Just occasionaly, doesn't do it if I shut off sounds. Maybe a bug? Doesn't cause any problem, I was curious as to what it was. I did think it was maybe a network thing, or a App doing something I'm afraid I'm a bit dense with BB tech things. Thanks anyway

Ok so if all sounds are off and it goes away, then I would try changing sounds one at a time, SMS, Phone, Email, etc.
The other thing it could be is some type of browser notification. Apps can cause tones also . Check third party apps if you have any. I would use a real weird tone when changing each temporally.

It used to do it on my Bold 9000 but it hasn't done it on my 9700 yet. It would make an event sounds like I wound connect a headset to it, but in fact the phone would be sitting and doing nothing so I know exactly what you mean. I thought it was some OS5 goofyness but evidently not. Mine would come and go, sometimes it would do it for weeks then vanish for a while. Ultimately though I have no idea what it is. Sorry mate. Though I don't think its a big deal.

Finally solved the random bleeps, it is a battery full notification. Which makes sense since it does it laying on table charger pluged in!
