Has anyone figured out how to increase battery time while having data connection active?

I wish! They charge a buttload for shipping to europe. I'm going to wait until it goes onto ebay and have them ship it to me, it's a lot cheaper.

PS- turn off 3g, brightness, BT off, etc. the usual.

You can make your screen turn off faster, you can turn off BT When it's not in use....

Disable your GPS until you need to actually use it. That will save battery life.

There is a document in the FAQ I believe that tells you how to optimize battery life. I suggest giving it a read.

I learned yesterday that putting my phone in my pocket greatly reduces my battery life. I believe it is from the screen constantly coming on when my pants press against it. Bought a clip and my battery life is a lot longer now. To bad there is not a way to stop that when the phone is in lock mode.

If you upgrade your OS, from what I hear anything .80 and above doesn't let your screen come on from a screen tap. It simply stays off, you need to rpess a physical button. Give an upgrade a try If you don't mind using leaked OS's

nasmith7 I have .75 and don't know how you would disable the screen from coming on from a screen tap. I have looked in options and doesn't appear to be any setting that can be changed.

Yeah this is true I upgraded to .83 and the screen stays off until you press the unlock button again.

That is incorrect. I ran on .75 for a while before going to .85 and it was not possible.

Disabling gps do nothing much really. Rim is stupid to release this mobile without testing it properly.

I don't have any problems with battery life. With my iPhone I would have had to have recharged 2-3 times a day with this usage with 3g off. This phone has awesome battery life. .

Buy an actual Blackberry case! The sleep magnet will disable the screen while in the case and increase your battery life alot.
