My blackberry 7130C only syncs when first connected to the PC (via USB or bluetooth).

If changes occur in Outlook Calendar and/or Contacts - while the 7130C is connected - this does not trigger the Blackberry Desktop Manager to initiate a sync with the blackberry.

So in effect, a 7130C that is_connected_ to a computer may not be completely syncronized with that computer. This is counter intuitive.

Is it possible configure blackberry desktop manager to (quietly) poll Outlook periodically, and if it detects a change to automatically initiate a sync?

Or, is it possible to configure blackberry desktop manager to sync periodically?

This is currently not available in DM. I believe there is a suggestion email aacount for RIM that you could probably locate on their website.
