Cool Blackberry Calendar Sync Question

Please Login to Remove!

I have a Verizon Blackberry Curve 8330. I have it set to sync with my company BES. However, since this is a personal phone I have turned off email redirection because I don't want my work emails to come to my Blackberry. I only want to sync my calendar and contacts from my work account. I have wireless redirection turned on for the calendar and contacts.

When I checked to see if my calendar was synched to my Blackberry I discovered that it was not (contacts sync fine). After further testing I discovered that if I add a calendar event on my Blackberry the event shows up in my Outlook so sync is working one way. If I toggle the "Wireless redirection" setting on my Blackberry my calendar syncs from my Exchange server.

Has anyone else seen this? Do I have to have email redirection turned on for calendar events to come from my Exchange server to my device?

Thanks.

I don't see the link you are referring to in your reply. Can you repost the link to this thread?

Thanks.

Can anyone tell me what has to be turned on and where (BES policy and device) to get this to work (or at least point me to some documentation or threads)? I feel like I'm missing something but haven't been able to figure out what I'm missing.

Thanks.
