Yup. It just will come off easily. Has a small piece of double sided tape on it. Comes off easily.

Interestng. I bet RIM does that so they can easily swap that piece out depending on the carrier they are shipping it to.

Does anybody have pictures or a video of them removing the bottom piece? I've ordered a "carrier free" replacement piece, and I would like to replace my current piece without taking the phone apart. However, I don't want to break anything in the process.

Just got my blank piece and did the modification. It's a piece of cake... took all of 1 min to do the mod. Slowly wedged my subway MetroCard into the gap and carefully worked it back and forth. In about 30 seconds, the piece was lifted enough that I could take it off with my hands.

Another few seconds to press the replacement piece in place.

If you can get a card thin enough to wedge in one of the spaces around the bottom piece, you can do this modification easily. Just don't force it... it will come off gently by itself.

just got my piece in the mail today. Here's a couple photos so you guys can see what the back looks like.

Gonna try sugar cubes and other stuff on the old Rogers piece. If you have something you'd like me to try, let me know.

Here's another pic with the bottom off the Bold. It was very easy. I'd recommend laying the Bold on a flat surface to pry off the bottom.

It's funny (kinda sick actually) but I miss my little Rogers logo now...lol

Awesome Shots! Thanks. I have a no-logo piece on order. What did you use to pry the branded piece off?

I bought a couple of the cell tools that cnn sells. One that looks like a screwdriver and one that looks like a guitar pick. I used the one that looks like the guitar pick and wedged it in below the logo. Felt like it wasn't going to come off at first cause of the 2-sided tape holding it on.

Well, I tried the sugarcube method tonight and have posted a pic. It did remove the logo (a little) and also put scratches on it. I then tried Gu Gone but that didn't make much difference.

Considering I spent $3 for sugarcubes, scratched the plastic and didn't remove the logo, I'd recommend just buying a replacement piece

Just ordered a couple from CNN just in case I mess one up.

It's going to look sweet too with no brand with the new Seidioonline case I just ordered. All blacked out baby!
