I use the Roxio Creator for converting CDs to MP3. This works OK but the album and all the tracks are all labeled as "unknown" so I have to manually label them.

Is there a way to get Roxio to recognise the album/track information like the Windows Media player can?

I would rip them to the computer with Windows Media player, or other ripping software; also iTunes can rip cd's as MP3s. You get the abum and track info, along with album art that way. Then you can copy the MP3s to your BlackBerry with Media Manager, or with Windows Explorer, which is even easier.
