Default Cingular/AT&T data outage again!

Please Login to Remove!

I ported my number to Cingular two weeks ago and have experienced 2 data outages since then.

I called their care and they just don't seem to care. I have to say, T-Mobile's customer service is far better than that of AT&T's.

I was about to do that as well, about 4 weeks ago. For some reason my request didn't go through when I was signing up for service, and I told myself I would do it later. So glad I didn't. T-Mobile has been awesome as of late in my area.

it is outside of their control. data outages on bb occur with RIM, not AT&T. it is not they don't care, they can't even try and fix the issue.
they can escalate the issue to RIM and that is all.

2 weeks ago you say? well you still have another 15 days left before you are locked in. i would go into a store and THREATEN to cancel if you don't find out what has been going on. there might be service enhancements going on in your area which would actually hurt the quality of the service while they were being performed. that's what happened in my area with T-Mobile a few weeks ago

There is no outage here (Birmingham, AL area) with Cingular/AT&T or RIM.

Try this out if you think AT&T is bad...

I said data outages - which means WAP via non-blackberry devices, iPhone, data cards. Has nothing to do with RIM.

Wow, big outage then. Can another on the West Coast confirm it?

It's back up now according to AT&T care. I was just commenting about their terrible customer service.

I live in Northern California. I'm on AT&T and my phone has been steadily chirping all morning. Email and SMS - No delays.

Gotcha. I've had great CS from both TMo and Cingy, as well as horrible. Lately, TMo has been been less than spectacular, in my personal situation.
