man evryone scoring a deal :( i dont work for an employer with premier discounts anymore. I paid $500 after tax from a 3rd party cing store, only palce i could find one. I found 1 corp store out of 6 nearby that had 1 left and refused to sell it to me outright since i just signed up with ATT/cing 2 months ago. I did put a complaint into corp. as they should be doing that and also a few other things that went wrong on that visit.

$150.

Paid $249 in the store and have to do a $100 mail in rebate. This is what I did...

My wife works for a big government contracter, so she gets great discount from most carriers on either phones, plans, or accessories.

We went into a VZ store and they were able to offer us the 8830 for $150, so off we go with the shopping around. We walked in the Cingular store and was looking at the 8800, but the salesman came over and introduced us the CURVE. I loved it, my wife liked it, so we told the store manager that we will only buy the phone if he can sell for $150 (after rebate).

We agreed to take a high priced minute plan (which I do need 1,350 minutes) and a blackberry internet plan for $45/month, so we got the phone for $150 total.

NEGOTIATE the price with the store manager, if you take high price plans, which they make LOTS $ out of you after the first 3 months, they will discount whatever you want them to.

I cannot believe this. I just got the BlackBerry Curve for FREE through the AT&T Premire website! I was just on there fooling around to see what price I could get. I purchased the Nation 900 w/ rollover plan for $49.79 and BlackBerry Personal Max Add On for $33.19. When I added the Blackberry Personal plan, it dropped the Curve price down to $0.00. They are also charging me a $36.00 activation fee but WHO CARES! I just hope the transaction isn't cancelled. Currently it states order status processing. **fingers crossed**

Yea...I spoke to two of the salesperson in two corporate stores here in Seattle and both have offered me additional discounts if I upgrade. It seems like they have tones in stock now and really pushing 8300 sales.

Hmmm... $49.95 though Corporate Premier website. But they also had a $25 discount and waived activation, so when it arrived, final invoice said: $24.95 and $14.95 overnight shipping. This was an an upgrade, not a new activation.
