Default Bricked 8310 - usb issues

Please Login to Remove!

my friends 8310 has suddenly thrown up the JVM error 547 - when i try to restore the latest/any OS i get USB device not recognized and has malfunctioned therefore i am unable to even run JL_Cmder - any suggestions please as this is way out of warranty

btw i have tried cmd line connection as well

Do you know if the USB error is on the PC or the BB?

Have you tried a different USB port on the PC, and not a HUB?

Have you done a battery pull on the BB?

Have you tried to restore or wipe the blackberry software with the battery out of the device?

erm, how do i do that if there is no battery in it?

problem is 100% with bb not pc

If the USB doesn't work you might try to get it fixed, but since it is an 8310, it would probably cost more than the device is worth.

managed to finally connect it, looked like the usb on the bb was damaged - used jl-cmder to delete it and am installing new os but it is hanging at the errasing applciation section :(
