Some of us are just not interested in repeatedly buying and replacing screen and body parts for our BB. (Maybe that same portion of us who are prone to dropping/damaging our Pearls.)

When I got my BB, I got the holster with the proximity switch that turns the screen off. I discovered after about a week that it was lacking. I then got some knock off VZW case that had a screen protector, but didn't really fit.

Finally I got a silicone glove for mine, and went back to the holster. In addition, I got some random static cling screen protectors.

Otter Box, has a very protective case and a membrane for covering the screen and keyboard. The membrane gets bubbles sometimes over the screen which isn't really bad but I might just cut that part.

I use Otter Box as well for my curve and 8700c. Very rugged cases.

I have a black skin on mine with no screen protector. I use the Seidio top case because it'll hold a naked or skinned BB.

I have use an OEM leather case to carry the BB in. I don't use any skins or anything like that because i like to show off the BB naturally. I am pretty anal about smudges and fingerprints so i wipe it with microfiber cloth constantly, but if anything gets physically damaged (has not happened yet...knocking on wood), I'd just get replacement parts (i.e. battery cover, shell, etc...) I do not handle the BB while driving; i set it in the vehicle cradle and use bluetooth with voice activated dialing. AND, I make sure that absolutley NO ONE touches my device!!!!!
