Default Uploading the new Rogers OS

Can anyone let me know where to find the instructions how to upload the new OS in my BB 8800 and also is it possible to go back to the original Cingular software, just in case?

-Install the latest version of the Desktop Manager Software
-Install the OS package to the PC
-Locate and delete the vendor.xml file from your PC's C:\ drive
-Plug in BB and run Desktop Manager. It will prompt to upgrade.

Yes, you can downgrade by uninstalling the OS package from the PC and then installing the Cingular OS to the PC and start the process over again.

Just noticed this... I like to hide the "Manage Connections" icon as I don't use it.

This version of the OS does not allow you to hide that icon. Only move it.

Anyone else notice this?

Hiding icons is theme dependent. Just try another theme. You may find one that allows hiding that icon.

The only problem I see with the Rogers version, 4.2.1.90, is if you use MyFaves, it switches the icons around. So, the names you see on your 'main' screen don't match the phone numbers etc...

T-Mobile couldn't fix it, and neither could RIM. I had to revert to the T-Mobile default O.S 4.2.1.74. A shame really! I wanted to get my sound to play through my Bluetooth headset using TeleNav, and that only work with the Rogers O.S...

Unhappy Anyone elese having battery issues after rogers upgrade?

The new release seems to be draining my battery in a matter of hours, and yes I made sure that jivetalk etc were all shutdown. I did not notice any battery life related posts in this thread but I wanted to bring it up.

I've been running it since it was released and have no issues with battery life.
