I have a BB 7230 but I can not get to work. I tried both 5.26 and 5.27 version. I setup a AIM account and yahoo and seem to be able to sign in to both (I get green lights). None of my buddies show up and if I try to add one, it still does not show up.

Has anyone got this to work with a 7230?

I love this application!

Thank you so much. Its brilliant.

Just a few things that bug me that would improve on...

1. In chat mode classic, ping pong etc.. are all like this

Me (time)
chat text

but it would be nice to see a mode that saves more screen space like this:

me (time): chat text

2. A Shortcut key to tab between IM's (maybe 1-10 for current open chat windows, like the sidekick)

3. A quick shortcut to end chat window

4. Option to change text size

5. option for IM sound or vibrate when active and in the application

Dont over bogg this software though, i love how light and fast it is. thats whats good about it. keep it that way ;)

Im moving from the sidekick to the BB and the im'ing on the sidekick is very smooth in terms of transitions between IM's and apps

The shortcut is pressing enter twice.

Thanks, thats dope but I'd love it more if on the top right corner it had numbers in the bubbles and you press the corresponding number. so you don't have to tab, you can go straight to the person you want.

kyububba, i think it's about time you make a spalsh screen when we start up the program. this would truly complete JT as being one of the best multi client IM programs out there for the blackberry device

If you have the application already you can upgrade it through the menu:
Menu->About JiveTalk->Menu button again->Upgrade

Aside from being a Cingular contractor, I do professional design work for companies on the side and would love to do a splash screen if you guys want. PM me if you're interested and I'll show you some of my work.

anyone else using AIM and notice that when you put a customized message, when others view you through their aim and scroll over your name they only read I'm away from jive talk right now. the only way for them to read your personalized message is if they click on buddy info? i just noticed that happening today. it wasn't happening yesterday?

I hope not as it just delays the loading of the program. I use IM+ too and wish I could turn theirs off.

I can think of possibly 100 features and options that should be added way before an advertisment.

too many features and options would result to too many problems don't you think? I would love to have JT be the way it is right now..keep it nice and simple as well as reliable
