Default Attachment problem (did a search already)

Please Login to Remove!

ok, here's the problem.
im running rogers 4.0 on a 7290

I have an email with a jpg attachment.
I click to open the attachment and i get :
- table of contents
- full content

I retrieve table of contents , and there is jsut a clock icon
I go and try to retrieve the full content, and i get the same thing

I go into options / application, and i have the attachment service 4.0

so I tried to delete my service book and resend it from bwc

I send myself another attachment and i get the same results. (the attachment is only 40k)

at one point in my testing and fooling around, I got the same result for full content, and when i tried to open the table of content I got an X, and i noticed a lil picture icon on the upper right hand screen.

I am at a lost as to what to do.

please help.

akona,
Attachments require a little patience. Once you click on the retrive contects of the 'full content' selection, you have to let the blackberry do its magic. It takes a few moments for the BB to download the attachment from the attachment server. eventually you'll see the download status bar and the attachment will appear.

i've had the same problem, only mine is intermittent.

i've noticed that only some of the attachments will go through, and i think it may be a size issue. the only picture files that i've gotten to work have been less than 15 kb, with the exception of one, which was 17 kb.

in the browser, however, i've been able to open pictures of a meg size, and bigger.

as i play with it a little more, i'll post more results. hope this eases the pain a little in the mean time!

I had a similar experience today, but it seems very inconsistant. I received an email with 2 jpeg attachments. One was 56k and the other was 48k. The 56k picture downloaded properly and took about 10 seconds to render. The 48k one showed the little clock icon, and now 3 hours later, it still shows the clock icon. If I try to download it again, it confirms that the request has already been sent and asks if I want to send another request. Whether or not I choose yes or no, the clock icon stays and nothing else happens.

I was having the same problem with photo attachments. I re-sent the service book, and I got my pictures.
Dont know if it was a coincidence or what.

To join the echo...I have problems too.

It won't open .mid files (to use as ringtones)

Finally, I uploaded the files to my website and browsed with the blackberry. Worked for me.

Default Mission...Possible!

If anyone is interested, here is the file: www.homeworkus.com/mission.mid

Just type the website on your blackberry browser. It should play. Click the wheel and you can save it. Comments welcome.

Now I just have to figure out a way to change the default website from T-Mobile's "Download Fun"...which actually isn't all that much fun.

When I try to retrieve, I get: "No email services, message cannot be sent."

Any ideas?
