Default New BB User - Do you have a backup phone?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey Guys,

Just ordered my first Blackberry, the 7250 from Verizon. Can't wait to get it in...didn't realize just how versatile it is now.

Anyway, I was wondering how many people here use a blackberry along with a regular phone. I plan to use this as my primary phone mainly because I don't want to carry 2 devices.

So, what do you do?

I have a motorola I use as my "backup" phone. I use it when I am going out to the woods on the weekend. I dont like the thought of having a tore up blackberry!

I use GSM, so it is just a matter of swapping the SIM..... Dont ya just love GSM!

I have a Nokia 3390 as a backup in case there's a situation where I don't want to take my 7290. However, I have not even used my backup phone since getting my 7290.

I use my 7100r for everything, no real reason to have anything else. I'd hate to have to carry two devices and the coverage on this one is pretty good with Rogers (even in my apartment)

I use Nextel and tried the 7510 as my primary phone however I use the Direct Connect alot and when it polls for email or im people would often get a "user busy in data" notification so I split it back up. I am however thinking about trying it out again since the error bothers everyone but me ;)

I work for Nextel, and run into that same problem, but I'd rather have one device, so that's that!
