I have TeleNav 5.1.1.111 installed on my BB 9700 and have paid for the monthly licence.

However, I'm finding it almost impossible to get a satellite lock. Whenever I try to get directions or even get it to show my location, it goes through a "Reading GPS..." cycle that takes over 2 minutes to get to 100%. Then I get a "GPS signal weak. Find better sky view." message! I tried this with the same results three times!

As a test just now, I stood out in the back garden with my 8900 and 9700. In Options -> Advanced Options -> GPS, both got a satellite reading. The 8900 took about 30 seconds, the 9700 about 1 minute. After that, both refreshed pretty quickly.

I then went into Google Maps on my 9700. Again, it got a satellite lock reasonably quidkly.

So, I then went into Maps -> Current Location in TeleNav on my 9700. But it was yet another 2 minute cycle of trying of "Reading GPS..." followed by "GPS signal weak......".

I've had the same results elsewhere (can get a lock in Advanced Options -> GPS and Google Maps, but not TeleNav). Any suggestions what could be going wrong with TeleNav? I'm about to cancel my subscription in desperation!

I don't understand? I thought it was Nav4All that have been shut down? What's happened to TeleNav?

I don't have any technical suggestions for you as you're in the UK and I the US. But I can tell you that I use telenav everyday just fine on this side.
