I've been using an unlocked 8100 from Tmo on Cingular since it launched.

Just upgraded my wife to Cingy 8100c from a 7130c. Cingular has the worst themes!

Is there a way to download the tmo zen theme OTA for 8100 without going through all the .alx unlocking program files. I am yet to have success on my pearl and i am not going to mess with the wifies.

There has to be a way to get the tmo zen by OTA.

all you do is edit one file in notepad and change the vendor id from 100 to 102 i believe is cingular's id.... it is as simple as 2 +2

problem is i cant do that on my mac at home. pc is in office.

there is no way to unlock or install themes ota?

Just use one of Jibi's pre-edited blackberry.alx files. I believe they are up to date with the latest OS's. Just replace yours with his and run Desktop Manager. Easiest way to get all the vendor themes!! Thanks, Jibi!

Edit:....sorry, I forgot...this won't work until cingular releases the OS for download....hopefully soon, though.

There is a simpler way to upload(install) individual themes onto the Cingular 8100
handheld (other BBs too for that matter)- without having to upgrade the OS on it.

1. Download the TMO 8100 OS and install on PC.
2. Download (search forum for) JL_Cmder and install on PC.
You should have the JL_Cmder icon on your desktop after install.
3. Go to 8100 OS folder on your PC and copy respective Theme files
into JL_Cmder install folder
4. Open Command prompt window and navigate to the JL_Cmder install folder
5. Javaloader which is part of JL_Cmder is used to upload each theme
individually. It works in command line mode and instructions from the readme.txt
file that comes with the install is pretty easy to follow.
6. Also, do make sure that you do NOT have Desktop Manager running when JL_Cmder
is running.

I uploaded the TMO Pearl theme using this method on the Cingular Pearl and it works great.
