Default Charging blackberry strom through USB

Please Login to Remove!

Hey,

I have a blackberry storm , it is dead and my charger to plug into the wall is broken and im waiting on a new one , i'm wondering is is possible to charge a blackberry storm through usb when the battery is dead.

It doesnt seem to be charging at all , the red lights stays on and then a screen with a battery with a electricity bolt going through it but stays like that,

Yes it is, just make sure you have the drivers installed.

it'll charge through USB, takes a little longer than what it takes from the direct charger though.
I don't think drivers would be a problem if u don't plan to do anything else except charging alone...

You need the drivers to charge a BB as it requires a higher voltage to charge.

Installing the drivers tells the USB port to send out the higher voltage.

You get the drivers by installing Desktop Manager. And do not plug into a HUB, plug directly to the PC
