Default Stereo Bluetooth & Dollars5 mediaPlayer

According to Dollars5, (as stated in his forum), his mediaPlayer does work with Stereo Bluetooth headsets. I don't have a stereo bluetooth headset to confirm. Hopefully, he wasn't just saying that as a marketing ploy. Can anyone else out there confirm if the Dollars5 mediaPlayer works with a stereo bluetooth headset?

I have confirmed this with my stereo a2dp headset, and his program. It does not work.

well I think we should clarify, it does work. It just works in a mono fashion and not stereo.

I think we need to clarify on this:
First we never have claimed that we do support A2DP profile, please check our forums posts too as listed below which are related to bluetooth conversation at our tech support forums:
Dollars 5 Community :: View topic - Need some help please...
Dollars 5 Community :: View topic - Bluetooth MediaPlayer

in the latter post the author asks for streo Bt but our tech guys have replied that simple bt streaming is possible - I think that has caused all this stir.

A2DP is a firmware facility and will be available for use with third party applications like our mediaPlayer ONLY IF RIM OFFICIALLY SUPPORTS A2DP

I personally know some guys who are working to enable A2DP profile on Blackberry and we too are trying for that - if that hack works - that would be a dream come true. We did not spend more time on this hack as other team is also working at it - but if requests grow we can dedicate more time on to this - but ETA cannot be stated as it may/may not work. Also be warned that this is not an official way of doing it so the hack will have to be used at your very own risk.

In conclusion:
Dollars 5 mediaPlayer does support Bleutooth audio streaming, but that is mono only - so even if you have a streo Bt headphone - only one earbud will be playing. A2DP is currently un-supported but if RIM or unofficial hack is available - that too will be supported in future.

Hope this clarifies things> Also I have added a response to the thread in our forums that cause so much confusion.

Some of our 8300 reported they were successful in using the A2Dp stereo bluetooth headset.

With their help we are playing with the cod files from their device to see if it would work on Pearl and 8800. But it is also rumored that with the next planned OS upgrade RIM plans to enable A2DP profile for Pearl and 8800 - if it happens we all would be happy.

8300 native, or did your dev/qa team install some hack to enable A2DP profile?
