It's called BlackBerry in a kit.*
One buys the phone then spends hours and hours migrating from one OS version to the next, attempting to fix what RIM failed to.
I've been there & done that. Bought a Bold 9000 upon it's release, then spent a year "upgrading" from one OS to the next as I served as RIM's crash test dummy (kidding) testing these "leaked" OS's. All in an effort to get one that performed well.*
Don't get me wrong .... I love BlackBerrys (or used to) and would love to buy a Torch. I really would.*
But the way RIM has planted their head in the sand and made stupid choices like a slow processor, low-res display, half baked OS6 and on and on, is simply outrageous.*
They are fully capable of returning to the excellence of their past. Yet they refuse to do so. After six years for them to push me and many others away due to their mediocrity, is simply obscene.
