Default Bold variants

Here in the US there are two Bold 9700 variants - the AT&T one which has support for 850/800/1900 MHz UMTS and the T-Mobile one which has support for 1700/900 MHz UMTS.

I am curious to find out which variant is going to be released by international carriers. Is there a third variant?

- Is it safe to assume that no matter what variant you use, it is really the US where it matters (so you can roam 3G either on T-Mo or ATT)?

- For example in Canada, which device have Rogers, Telus and Bell released? I think Roger's website says its the AT&T variant.

- How about Orange and Vodafone in the UK?

- How about T-Mobile UK and Germany?

Also - it appears from reading these threads that both variants are capable of doing UMA but it is carrier dependent. Is that true?

Thanks!

T-mobile UK, Orange UK, and Vodafone (including O2 if they rever released it) use the same network as AT&T, so its that variant.

The only problem here is T-mobile US using a completely different 3G frequency.
Although it appears to be the same requency as WIND in Italy. (per another thread).
